Man, Those Ethics!

Simply a lament of me and my family, and of course my troops! I don’t mind for me being harmed, but shall it be them, there’s no such thing to depict how furious I am ..

Few days ago I went with my family to one of the governmental office to administer some family documents, mainly for my husband and my children (mine is still valid). We were there at 9am and due to some stories from they who have made attempt to do these without third-party, in other words, manage the documents by themselves, we expected to be finished after lunchtime. Well, we have to prepare to wait, but I don’t mind.

After settling payments, we should wait to be called. Then the long-waiting adventure begun. I am not a good spectator, but only I could be so dumb not to see clearly lots of people who came after me just walked freely to the next booth without queuing. Some agents were with them. Those people peeked impatiently into the booth and they went in and out there all the time, blatantly ignoring the sign ‘no entry for those who were not called’ which was unmistakably placed at the door. One, two, three hours, then we were all dismissed to queue later until the Friday praying time has finished.

That, was already exhaustive. But wait until my next story.

We were back from our lunch and again sitting patiently in the waiting room. Not even one of our name was called for the next two hours. My husband, who do not wish to wait for any reason for his life, was more than cranky as I am. Along with me came a woman with her two sons who were as furious as we were. I remembered her to settle her payment right before me. Which concluded, when she has been called, then it would be my time.

That’s not true. There were so many names after her and not even one of our names buzzed.

I then argued with the officer in pursuant way, threat him that I could be no longer hold my son and daughter to be polite for they have waited for almost 7 hours, and the officer infuriate me more with his answers.

“You shall wait with others. They who came after you have already paid yesterday, so they could be served in a straight line. If you could not manage your children, and tired of waiting, you may come again tomorrow.”

What????

Then I pushed him and I pursued him. It was just too obvious that too many people are cutting my lane. Finally after he saw my troops running around gleefully and screaming with joy in the waiting room, and maybe because the cheat was just too far, he offered me to seek for my family documents.

No, this was not the end. We were served after we have been waiting for more than 6 hours, see. However after that, we had to spare some more of our patience for another more than an hour delay.

Geeeeezzzzzz ….

Few days later I came back to collect the finished documents and what I saw was pretty calming: the office has changed. It now has counters (not merely several lining desks) and most of all, it has electronic queuing number displays. Though I didn’t see any printer machine for picking numbers, I thought this is a good start. Well, let’s just say, we were simply ran of luck back on the ‘waiting’ day.

However I may still need to report my ‘unluckiness’ … so that there will be no others wasting their time badly …
